Among the sunny slopes of the Zerafshan Valley, just 25 kilometers from Samarkand, lies the village of Bagizagan — a land where grapes grow under the gentle sun and are nourished by pure water.
It is here that the wine was born, which has become the pride of Uzbekistan.
The history of winemaking in Bagizagan began with a small winery founded in 1964.
At that time, only 300 tons of grapes were processed and just 12 people worked there.
Gradually, production grew and in 1999, after Independence, the enterprise became private and turned into a modern winery with a full production cycle.
In 2003, the winery planted its own 450 hectares of vineyards to produce wine exclusively from its own unique grapes.
By 2009, the company launched cognac production, which was highly appreciated by connoisseurs of fine drinks.
Today, Bagizagan is a name with a rich history and a modern vision of winemaking.
The winery produces exquisite wine collections, including Bella (2020) and the premium Laguna line (2021), created from international grape varieties.
The secret of Bagizagan’s uniqueness lies in its special climate: to the north — the nourishing Zerafshan River, and on three sides — mountain ranges that create a harmonious balance of warmth and coolness.
Grapes are grown here organically: without chemicals, only with the sun, clean water, and natural fertilizers.
Today, in the tasting hall of the Eternal City, you can savor the finest wines and cognacs of Bagizagan, experiencing the richness and delicacy of flavors filled with the sun and traditions of five generations of winemakers.
