Oriental Sweets

Sweets prepared according to ancient recipes are an integral part of Uzbek culinary tradition.

For many centuries, Uzbek confectioners carefully preserved and passed down secret recipes for delicacies such as halva, parvarda, nisholda, and navat.
In the past, these sweets were considered exclusive treats for khans and their close circle, but today, every guest of the “Eternal City” has the chance not only to taste and purchase them but also to learn how to prepare them.

During the workshop, you will not only discover the history of traditional Uzbek sweets but also take part in making them yourself. Under the guidance of master Olim Hasanov, participants will prepare oriental candies and halva — a popular treat with a rich flavor and delicate texture, made from seeds, nuts, or flour with the addition of sugar or honey.
Each guest will go through the main stages of preparation and create their own sweets, which can be taken home as a delicious souvenir and a piece of ancient tradition.
