Dive into the fascinating world of ceramics with academician Sharif Azimov, a master who has dedicated 54 years of his life to the art of terracotta.
His teacher, the legendary Usto Umar Jurakulov, passed on to him the knowledge and passion for this ancient craft, which Sharif Azimov continues to honor and preserve to this day.
The master mainly works with terracotta — baked clay, whose history goes back more than 7,000 years.
In Samarkand, ceramic art has about 5,000 years of history, connected with the culture of Sogd, Afrosiab, and the Kushan Empire.
During the workshop, guests will not only mold their own clay piece but also decorate it, creating a truly unique handmade work of art.
